Simple Chocolate Cut Out Cookies - Perfect for Decorating and eating!
Chocolate Cut Outs
4 cups all purpose flour
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon (this is optional, i thought it gave it a lil somethin extra)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter softened
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cups sour cream
1) Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add sugar and vanilla. Add egg. Add sour cream. Mix until all are well combined.
2) Sift in flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Mix until combined. Roll out on a lightly floured surface or in between two sheets parchment paper. Roll out to about 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch thick.
3) Place on a parchment lined baking sheet, and put each tray into the freezer for about 10 minutes before baking. Bake at 325 for about 10 minutes. Cool on wire racks.
