Stuffed French Toast

Stuffed french toast - made with a rich, lightly sweetened brioche, cream cheese, dark chocolate, and a little bit of cinnamon. Topped with powdered sugar and maple syrup. 

That diet starts...when?


Stuffed French Toast
makes 5 sandwiches
Filling
8 oz cream cheese
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
dark chocolate chips
Toast
1 loaf brioche, cut into 12 thick slices (won't use ends, so you'll end up with 10 usable slices)
4 eggs
2/3 cup milk (I used skim)
dash of cinnamon

1) Cream together cream cheese, sugar, and cinnamon. Spread thickly onto 5 of the slices. Sprinkle with desired amount of chocolate chips, and top each with another slices of bread.

2) Whisk together eggs, milk, and cinnamon. Dip each sandwich, making sure to flip and get both sides soaked in the egg mixture. Cook over medium-low heat until golden on each side*.
